CTV Travel Show "Valerie Pringle has left the building" travel show featured Yellowknife, the Aurora and Blachford Lake Lodge, in 2007. Valerie traveled by dog team, went ice fishing with Blachford owner Mike Freeland and landed among thousands of caribou on her bush plane flight back to Yellowknife.

Diana Krall

Celebrated the release of Diana Krall's Christmas Songs in 2007 with a contest featuring a Grand Prize of a Polar Bear Diamond engraved with a personal message, round trip flights to romantic Blachford Lake Lodge, and a private tour of the Polar Bear Diamond Cutting and Polishing Facility in Yellowknife.

Blachford Lake Lodge was named Operator of the Year by Northwest Territories Tourism in 2006. The honour is given to a tourism operation providing exceptional service and dedication to the highest standards of tourism hospitality.
