Fishing is a popular summertime activity at Blachford Lake Lodge, but we also offer hiking trails, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking trails, a sauna, a telescope for bird watching, a northern reference library, and of course, our famous year-round outdoor hot tub spa!

Explore the lake by boat or the land on our trails, take a dip in the sun warmed lake, or explore our collection of found items and games in the Aurora room.

In all seasons, the wood-fired sauna is a highlight. Dry or wet, the sauna is a great way to relax after a day on the hiking trails or on the water.

The Lodge tipi welcomes guests any time of day, and many award winning photographs of the Aurora Borealis have been taken with the tipi as a backdrop. Groups can book a Dene cultural evening that introduces the history and traditions of the Dene, people who traditionally lived in this area. Blachford's Dene cultural experience includes Northern Aboriginal hand games, drumming, and the story of the Dogrib people. Advanced reservations are required.
