Canoeing & Kayaking

Blachford Lake Lodge has canoes and sea kayaks available for guests to explore our beautiful lake. As you paddle silently in our northern wilderness, you can hear the calls and perhaps catch sight of loons, symbols of Canada's wilderness. There are graceful terns, that winter in South America Bald eagles and rough legged hawkssoar above, competing with our ever-present northern ravens. You may surprise a beaver or young muskrats frolicking in the shallows, or catch a glimpse of a moose browsing for greenery.

Haul out on a sun-warmed rock for a siesta, or slip into the fresh, clear water for a swim. On your return, hop in to the hot tub to ease the muscles, or try out our wood fired sauna. Depending on the season, you might be able to catch the northern lights later in the evening. Your northern dream really can come true at Blachford Lake Lodge.
